Charge your food with your own energy for selflove
I used to have an eating disorder and be scared of food. But once I fell in love with myself I found out the power of plants and intention I became obsessed with giving my body the fuel it craves to be my best self for the world. When you love your body, it starts to love you back. Infusing your own energy into your food is a powerful practice.
To begin:
-Place your meal in front of you
-Place your hands over your food
-Envision golden rays of energy flowing out of your hands and into every proton in your meal (you are made in the image of God and have the same power to create)
-Say your intention out loud: ex: “I intend for this meal to give my body the nutrients and fuel required to be my best self for humanity”
This practice was life changing because once I took back control of how the food was going to affect my body, I felt safer. Having an eating disorder is all about control. So this practice is an alternative that was loving and positive 🤍
Have you struggled with an eating disorder?
If so are you still in the trenches?
Or have you learned to expand beyond it?
The practice of energizing your food is not just a trend; it incorporates the principles of mindfulness and positive affirmations. When you approach your meals with intention, you recognize the importance of nutrition and emotional wellbeing. Begin by creating a sacred space for your meal, allowing yourself to focus and reflect. Holding your hands over the food can enhance this connection, as you visualize energy enveloping your meal. This not only enriches the food with your positive energy but also reinforces your bond with your body’s needs. As you say your intentions aloud, such as 'I intend for this meal to nourish and empower me', you're not just communicating with the food; you're engaging in a dialogue with your inner self, fostering a deeper appreciation for the nourishment you provide. This energy exchange can be particularly beneficial for those recovering from eating disorders, as it encourages a loving and respectful relationship with food. Incorporate this practice into your daily routine, and witness its profound impact on your mental and physical health. Learn to appreciate each bite, approach your meals with joy, and celebrate the journey of self-love and acceptance. This holistic approach serves as a reminder that food is not just sustenance, but a fundamental part of our emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
