Four months back in NYC… moving back was the best decision we’ve made as parents of three.. This year started with a huge leap… leaving behind the Dallas suburbs, stepping into change personally, professionally, everything. And… everything has only gone up from here. We don’t take this

With sharing our journey comes opinions… a lot of them. But I’ve been showing up online since I became a first-time mom in 2019 and one thing about me? I’m not easily shaken, swayed, or convinced otherwise. These are our decisions. Our real life. And what’s best for our family. So for

Kids share rooms all the time…and honestly, this has been one of the most intentional spaces we’ve created since moving from Dallas to Brooklyn. Designing a room for three kids (ages 6, 4, and almost 3) in a smaller NYC apartment meant every piece had to work. I wanted it to feel calm, organized

We spent 3 hours walking all over New York City with 3 kids… and yes there were complaints, “carry me’s,” and moments where I was like why did we do this.. But I’m framing it as not just walking around stressed with my kids… I’m exploring one of the greatest cities in the world with my little

We left NYC for the TX suburbs thinking it was the “right” move for our family…. It wasn’t. So we came back. Back to the city where we became parents… and the version of motherhood that actually feels like me. ( does that make sense to you too??) I’ve been happier these past few month

I checked our family medicine cabinet and found bottles from YEARS ago I didn’t even realize OTC pain relievers expire. Visit The Advil Exchange through the link in my bio. You can scan an expired product, unlock an offer, and switch to real strength, with Advil Savings at CVS and select retai

I could cry thinking about how happy this version of me is. Because this time last year, I was crying for a completely different reason. I was miserable. We had moved from Brooklyn back to the Dallas area after becoming first-time parents in New York during the pandemic. We had our first baby

Our first Easter back in NYC Something about celebrating holidays here again just feels really special for our family. This year I wanted to make the kids’ Easter baskets extra thoughtful, and Pottery Barn Kids made it so easy. They honestly have the best Easter selection, but the personaliz

Moved back here 3 months ago and I’m still in shock…
I might need to start a support group for how unbelievably unfriendly this city is for kids. I mean… it’s actually out of control. Should I share the full list of all the “unfriendly”places we’ve been going? Because the b-roll I have is starting to feel… excessive 😌 #nycmom #nycfamily #

Moving back to NYC after being in the suburbs for three years with three kids has been… an adjustment. More stress. More chaos. But also more life. Museums on random weekdays, playground stops on the way home, and the kind of energy that reminds me why we came back in the first place.

Moving back to NYC with three kids didn’t make motherhood easier… it made me more intentional. I’ve learned I don’t need perfect days, I just need prepared ones especially mornings. We’ve used Kate Farms since my oldest was little, and it’s still one of those small things that helps our big da

Invited to an event tonight and it somehow turned into a little date night for me and my husband after. We honestly haven’t had many of those since moving back to NYC from Dallas, but grandma was in town for the weekend and we had to take the chance to be more than just mom and dad for one night.

People think New York City isn’t a place to raise kids… let alone homeschool them. But for our family of five, the city has actually become the classroom. Hi, I’m Alexis A mom of three who just moved from the Dallas suburbs back to Brooklyn after being away for three years. And honestly…

The number one question I get is how we’re making New York City work with three kids. Truthfully it’s not about having more space, it’s about using the space intentionally. Once I stopped trying to recreate suburban living inside a Brooklyn apartment everything started to click for our family.

I felt this pull about a year after we moved to the suburbs… and I’m so grateful my husband listened when I finally said it out loud. I didn’t want to stay somewhere just because it looked good on paper. Because “what you’re supposed to do” and what actually feels right are not always the same

Check out the link in my bio Turning this apartment into a home has honestly been a labor of love. When we first moved in, my daughter kept calling it a hotel 😭 and I laughed, but she wasn’t wrong. It didn’t feel like ours yet. Now she knows… this is home. I’m really excited to start addin

Three years ago we moved our family to the Dallas suburbs thinking it was the life we were supposed to want. And for a season… we needed it. God used that chapter to teach us who we were, and who we weren’t. But deep down we knew. We weren’t meant for comfort. We were meant for purpose. S
