Being a stay at home mom affected my mental health

When my husband and I first had our child. We didn’t expect life to be what it was besides him being in NICU, everything was going good until we had to move. We moved and it was hard for me to find daycares because of waitlists. This made it hard for me to find a job. I was used to working and being active. So around that time COVID-19 had started. I then knew it was best for me to stay home. I was fine then but 2 years went by I noticed how I was so routined and wasn’t happy with my life. I had so many plan I graduated college at the being of my pregnancy and passed my certification exam. It felt like my life was on pause for over 2 years without me even realizing it. That 3rd year, I was so unhappy. I started overthinking. I wasn’t happy with my weight gain. I felt like a failure. I had so many plans for myself and couldn’t do it because I was stuck in the house being a stay at home mom. Everyone would say you should be so happy you don’t have to work but I never had time to myself and it bothered me. On top of that I wasn’t getting the proper vitamin C. Which led to me being depressed and I started having severe anxiety. So, I’m saying this to say everyone doesn’t like being a stay at home mom. It seems easy until you realize you forget who you are in the process. Again, this is my story and how I feel about being a stay home mom. I don’t want more kids due to me experiencing this and my birth experience was pretty bad and long as well.
