Replying to @sesman well that was a quick & shocking turn of events
I recently watched a video where boys were challenged to guess the prices of various girl things, and let me tell you, the results were truly surprising. It was fascinating to see how differently boys and girls perceive value in everyday products. Often, the boys underestimated the prices, leading to some funny and shocked reactions. One thing that stood out was how the boys had to *recalibrate* their thinking as the prices kept exceeding their guesses. It shows that even seemingly simple price tags can be deceptive depending on one's familiarity with the products. This kind of challenge not only provides entertainment but also highlights how gender stereotypes can affect our everyday assumptions. From personal experience, I’ve found that shopping for beauty or fashion items can be quite expensive, but until I saw this challenge, I hadn’t realized how much those prices can vary and how hard they can be to guess. The *waiting to process* moment the participants had was very relatable, as we often don’t immediately register the true cost of these goods. This experiment is a fun way to open conversations about price awareness and to appreciate the value behind everyday items that might otherwise be taken for granted. It also serves as a reminder to not make quick judgments, as things are not always as they seem at first glance.
