Learning to sew
I’ve had my sewing machine for a little bit now.
However, because of the terminal diagnosis of a family friend
I’m making myself practice more.
I’m making her a blanket.
I’m making my sister in law the same blanket.
I’ll eventually make her kids the same blanket but I’m on a time frame.
It needs to be done by Saturday.
It’s a hard deadline when I need to finish her hat with stars on it and two blankets when I’ve never made one before.
Here is my practice blanket I roughed together.
I didn’t have an iron. It isn’t perfect.
But it’s the first one I made and I’m so proud of it!
I have my iron and new thread to go with the blanket.
Now I’ll double and triple check my measurements and cuts to make it perfect!
