My brother has been dating his fiancée for about two years, and our parents have always been polite but distant toward her. During a family dinner, she pulled me aside and asked, “Do they not like me?”

I tried to dodge it, but she kept insisting she wanted the truth. So I finally told her our parents think she’s using my brother for his money.

She went completely quiet and left early. Now my brother’s furious, saying I “crossed a line” and ruined his engagement. But honestly, I only said what everyone in the family already says behind closed doors.

So… was I wrong for being honest when she asked?
