Unpopular opinion: a glow up is more than hygiene
It makes me irrationally annoyed when people treat glow-ups like a hygiene checklist!! As if being confident is just about Vaseline and matching workout sets.
For me, the hardest part of “glowing up” was doing the stuff no one sees... leaving friendships that drained me, calling myself out on self-sabotage, and slowly rebuilding how I spoke to myself. None of that felt glamorous. It felt like grieving my old identity. But it’s the reason I finally like who I am now. And yeah, I still use skincare. But if that’s where you stop, the glow-up’s only surface level.
💬 Comment & tell me: what did your real glow-up actually involve?

The part where you had to "grieve your old identity" really hit home for me. What was the hardest thought you had to reframe?
