Unpopular opinion: crocheting isn’t ALL about $$$

I recently got EATEN ALIVE in the comments of a Facebook post where I asked for ideas on small items that I could have available for ~$1, and I was SHOCKED! People were LIVID that I was not charging a $5 minimum at my craft fair booth. While I agree that handmade goods are worth more, I think we all also need to remember that we chose the craft because we enjoy it and that there is NOTHING wrong with choosing to price items lower than what others think it’s worth. #lemon8contest #AskLemon8 #crochetaddiction #crochetadvice #crochetcommunity West Virginia

In a free market you have the right to place a price on your goods you feel is fair. I know as a child I couldn’t afford a lot on gifts for family and friends so it was a real treasure to find well made items at a cheaper price

I understand what you’re getting at but I think it’s also good to understand that some people do it to make extra money they might need so making a minimum price is efficient. Yes some people do just do that for fun but a lot of people do it for extra money.
