Our intimate wedding @1-flowerhill

Hi everyone!! We had our intimate wedding at 1-flowerhill and just received the photos from the besttttt photographer -moonstone (just look at the edits! We received many compliments on the edits)

Things we did differently:

- DIY stage decor (spent $150 on customized florals from Taobao, saved $400)

- wedding favors: we wrote individual letters to each and every one of our guest, with photos printed at the front and letters at the back - many of my guests were touched by this 🥺. Also catered a candy wall since husband and I love candies

- DIY photo table + angpao table : bought majority of the stuff from Taobao (spent $86 excluding the piped flowers)

- we bought piped flowers from Carers as decor so we can keep them and also support the organisation.

- instead of renting a video/audio book, we used our own spare phone and set up a guestbook area. total cost $20? For the fisheye lens, markers and video guest book sign. With the videos, I did up a reel of my guests signing the lens 🤪

- small wedding cake! So pretty! We didn’t want to spend too much on wedding cake because we already had dessert catered.

- my wedding shoes are <$20 and I wore them for PWS, ROM, Actual wedding! + it’s comfortable!

- we also spent $50 on POV cam where guests get to play with the film app and take pictures of their pov! LOVE LOVE! I got to see all the pictures in advance before my official photos! used the photos to do up a reel as well 🤪

Let me know if you guys would like to know more in the comments, have fun planning your wedding!!!

... Read morePlanning an intimate wedding can be both exciting and challenging, especially when trying to balance personalization with budget constraints. One of the most rewarding aspects of organizing such a special day is the ability to infuse your unique personality into every detail, as seen in our experience at 1-Flowerhill. One tip that really worked for us was opting for DIY stage decor by purchasing customized florals from Taobao. Not only did this save us a significant amount compared to traditional rentals, but it also allowed us to tailor the look perfectly to our wedding theme. It’s amazing how affordable online marketplaces can be for quality decorative items if you’re willing to put in a little planning and effort. Another highlight was our wedding favors: personalized letters accompanied by guest photos. This thoughtful touch created a heartfelt connection with our guests and made them feel truly valued. Incorporating a candy wall was also a fun way to reflect our personalities and add a playful element that guests enjoyed. For the guestbook, instead of conventional paper books, we set up a video recording station using a spare phone with a fisheye lens attachment. This creative approach not only saved costs on rentals but captured candid and memorable messages from our loved ones. The footage became a treasured keepsake that went beyond traditional guestbook entries. We also opted for small, elegant wedding cakes since dessert was catered separately, balancing aesthetics and practicality. Choosing comfortable yet stylish wedding shoes – costing less than $20 – allowed me to enjoy every moment without sacrificing comfort, proving that looking perfect doesn’t always require splurging. Lastly, a POV camera added an interactive and entertaining dimension; guests loved experimenting with the film app to capture unique angles of our celebration. Early access to these guest-generated photos helped create additional memorable content for sharing. Overall, our intimate wedding at 1-Flowerhill was a blend of creativity, personalization, and smart budgeting. For couples planning their own weddings, these ideas may inspire ways to make your day uniquely yours and financially manageable. Always remember, it’s the thoughtful details and meaningful moments that leave lasting impressions more than expensive decor or extravagant setups.
