Our Intimate ROM in a Cantonese Restaurant

Husband and I recently held our solemnisation at Jia He — One Farrer Hotel

We hosted 28 guests (3 tables) in a private room. I would say it can comfortably fit 30-33 in total.

The room was cozy, ceiling height was good, lighting was ambient and our families absolutely loved the food.

🍽️: Cantonese Fare, Individually Plated

💲: $98++ per pax. They have 3 menus to choose from and we selected “Create the Memories”

❤️: Guest Table Set-up, Solemnisation Table Set-up (including cloth for chairs that I opted out of), Feather Pens and Ring Pillows are inclusive

🔊: Microphone, Speaker and Projector inclusive

🍵: Free Flow Chinese Tea and Soft Drinks

🙏🏻 Why we recommend it

• We had our dearest family on this occasion and comfort + accessibility was key. Location is central, beside Farrer Park MRT. Everyone drove and there were no complains with the parking either. (We purchased parking coupons at $10/coupon for our guests)

• Toilet was relatively near the restaurant, acceptable for my grandma in a wheelchair and other old folks.

• Room to ourselves for 3.5 hours.

• We had 2 vegetarian guests and 1 with seafood allergy, menu was customized beforehand at same cost.

• 8.5/10 for the food, again no complains from us.

• Staff were proactive and refilled our drinks constantly.

• The Space. Elegance and simplicity was what we went for and I’d say this ticked that box for us.

• Last picture from their YouTube channel.

💭 Backdrop: I engaged an external vendor! PM me for more details (:

💭 My coordinator at Jia He was Pamela, you can look for her for the latest menus/updates!

... Read moreWhen planning a ROM solemnisation at a Chinese restaurant like Jia He, it’s helpful to consider not only the menu but also practical guest needs and the ambiance. For example, Jia He offers menus that can be customized for dietary restrictions such as vegetarian or seafood allergies without extra cost, ensuring every guest feels cared for. The private room provides an intimate space for your closest family and friends, comfortably seating around 30 guests. Access and comfort should not be overlooked. Jia He’s central location next to Farrer Park MRT makes it easy for guests to arrive, and ample parking options simplify logistics for those driving. Having a nearby restroom accessible for elderly guests or those with mobility aids is a thoughtful touch enhancing everyone’s experience. The restaurant’s included amenities, like microphones, speakers, and projectors, support meaningful moments during your solemnisation ceremony without needing outside rentals. Additionally, features such as free-flow Chinese tea and soft drinks keep guests refreshed throughout the event. One unique aspect often appreciated is the elegant simplicity of the dining space. Jia He’s private room strikes a balance between formality and comfort, allowing you to personalize decorations—like engaging an external vendor for a backdrop—to reflect your style. I recommend connecting with the coordinator Pamela at Jia He to explore the latest menus and packages for solemnisation events. Guests’ positive feedback on the flavorful Cantonese dishes, scored around 8.5/10, testifies to the restaurant’s culinary quality and attentive service. These details contributed to a memorable start for our couple’s new chapter on 02 August 2025. Planning ahead by selecting the “Create the Memories” menu ensures a delightful feast featuring dishes like Roasted Crispy Duck and Steamed Wild Caught Soon Hock, which you can tailor to suit your guest preferences. This thoughtful preparation adds to the stress-free, joyous atmosphere of your ROM celebration.
