Collagen Perspective
This is what my collagen routine actually looks like when it’s placed into the full system.
Not just what I take, but how I think about it.
I don’t rely on one single collagen source or formula long term.
I keep a consistent baseline with capsules, and I rotate between powdered formulas based on how they’re built.
Not because one is “better”
but because they’re not identical.
That gives me consistency without relying on one singular input over time.
But I still keep collagen in perspective.
Collagen does not build the nail plate.
Nails are made of keratin.
Collagen supports connective tissue, blood vessels, and the internal environment surrounding the nail matrix, which can influence how efficiently it functions.
And neither my capsules nor powders include vitamin C.
Which matters, because vitamin C is required for proper collagen synthesis.
That’s why I prioritize the real foundation first:
• adequate protein
• vitamin C intake
• mineral sufficiency
• strength training for circulation
Collagen is support, not the builder.
If you saw my previous posts:
“Collagen Does Not Build Nails”
“Collagen Needs Vitamin C”
This is how I actually apply that system.
I focus on supporting systems, not chasing single ingredients.
Collagen fits into the system. It’s not the system itself.
