Last night we stared at you admiring how beautiful you’ve blossomed, we knew we’d never have that day with you again because today you’re a little older than you were yesterday. Wow, six months with my sweet Arabella! It feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home, and now she’s halfway to her first birthday. This milestone isn't just about celebrating her, but also about reflecting on all the incredible changes and memories we've made. As a first-time mom, every week brings something new, and these past six months have been a whirlwind of joy, learning, and unforgettable moments. One of the things I've loved most about this stage is watching Arabella hit her 6-month milestones. Just recently, she's really started sitting up unassisted, which has opened up a whole new world for her (and for us!). Her little personality is shining through with every giggle and babble. She’s reaching for everything now, exploring textures, and those tiny hands are so busy! We've also started introducing some purées, and watching her reactions to new tastes has been hilarious. If you're wondering what to expect around six months, keep an eye out for improved head control, rolling both ways, babbling, reaching for objects, and maybe even some early attempts at crawling. Every baby is different, but these are some of the exciting developments that have made this period so special for us. To make her 6-month mark extra special, we did a little at-home 'half-birthday' celebration. It doesn't have to be anything grand, but just acknowledging these smaller milestones feels important. We simply decorated a corner with a few balloons and captured some adorable photos of Arabella in her favorite outfit. Speaking of photos, I’ve learned a few tricks for capturing those precious 6-month baby girl moments! Natural light is your best friend. Try to shoot near a window without direct sunlight for soft, even lighting. Get down to their level, so you’re seeing the world from their perspective. And don't forget to capture those tiny details – the chubby rolls, the grasping hands, and those incredible gummy smiles. We also found some cute props like a 'half-birthday' banner and a little number '6' to include in her pictures. Even simple flat lays with her favorite toys or a monthly milestone blanket can make for beautiful keepsakes. These photos are truly priceless reminders of how quickly they grow. Being a girl momma to Arabella has been the most beautiful adventure. It's a journey filled with so much love, sleepless nights, and endless cuddles.
