relax muscles with patting 🧘♀️
Tui Na: This is a therapeutic form of Chinese massage that often involves a mix of kneading, rolling, and pressing on acupuncture points, but can also include more vigorous techniques like slapping or patting the body to stimulate circulation, relieve muscle tension, or clear blockages in the body’s energy flow. The tapping or patting in Tui Na is a bit more forceful compared to the gentle tapping of EFT.
Benefits are:
Pain relief
Remove energy that’s not yours
blood circulation
Boost enegy
Lymphatic drain
If you try this go at it gently at first then progress the patting to your liking you don’t want to over do it to add to soreness.
From my personal experience incorporating Tui Na patting into my routine, I found that starting gently and tuning into my body's feedback made a significant difference. Unlike the softer EFT tapping, the firmer patting used in Tui Na truly stimulates circulation and helps release tension in tight muscles. I noticed that after just a few sessions, soreness reduced, and my energy felt more balanced throughout the day. One powerful aspect of this method is its ability to aid lymphatic drainage, which often gets overlooked in self-care practices. The rhythmic patting encourages the movement of lymph fluid, helping to detoxify and reduce swelling, which in turn supports overall immune health. Another important benefit I felt was the removal of 'dense' or stagnant energy. Whether you believe in energy healing or not, the physical process of patting seems to relieve mental stress and clear up feelings of heaviness, which I attribute to both the physical stimulation and mindful intention during the practice. For those new to Tui Na patting, I would recommend beginning with gentle pressure on areas of tension and gradually increasing intensity as you become more comfortable. Avoid overdoing it to prevent added soreness. Incorporating this practice into your regular self-care ritual can complement other healing methods like acupuncture or meditation, enhancing your body's natural ability to heal and maintain balance.
