Best murals! 🫶

... Read moreYou guys, I HAVE to tell you about this incredible Dolly Parton mural I discovered in Haeundae! I was just wandering around, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Busan, when suddenly, there she was – a beaming Dolly, larger than life, gracing a wall with her iconic presence. It was one of those moments that truly makes you appreciate public art and how it can just pop up and surprise you. This isn't just any mural; it's a burst of joy and color that instantly lifted my spirits. Finding it was part of the adventure! While I can't give you the exact coordinates of a secret treasure map, I can tell you it's tucked away in one of the charming side streets not too far from Haeundae Beach itself. If you're heading towards the traditional market area or exploring some of the alleyways behind the main beach road, keep your eyes peeled! It's often near smaller local shops or cafes, which actually makes for a perfect little detour. I'd recommend starting your search around Gunam-ro and venturing into the smaller, more artistic lanes. You'll know it when you see it – trust me, Dolly's smile is unmistakable! The mural itself is absolutely stunning. It captures Dolly Parton's legendary charisma perfectly. Imagine bright, bold colors, intricate details, and that signature sparkle she always carries. It felt like a true tribute to her enduring positive spirit. The artist did an amazing job bringing her essence to life on that wall. There's a real sense of community and warmth emanating from it, making it feel like a gift to the city. It’s definitely a testament to the fact that beautiful art doesn't always come with an 'ent you pay for' ticket; sometimes, the best experiences are found freely, right 'on earth'. What I loved most about this mural is how it embodies the unexpected charm of Haeundae. Beyond the famous beach and bustling market, there's a thriving art scene, and this Dolly Parton piece is a shining example. It’s a fantastic spot for photos – the colors really pop, and who wouldn't want a selfie with Dolly? I went during the late afternoon, and the lighting was just perfect, casting a warm glow on her portrait. After you've admired the mural, you can easily grab a coffee from a nearby cafe or wander back to the beach for a beautiful sunset. It feels like a little piece of Nashville magic right here in Korea! Seriously, if you're ever in Haeundae, make sure to add this Dolly Parton mural to your must-see list. It's more than just a painting; it's an experience, a delightful surprise, and a wonderful reflection of how universal art can be. It’s these unexpected discoveries that make travel so rewarding. Go find it, take a picture, and let Dolly bring a little extra sparkle to your day!
