For the rest of my life, I've believed that sincerity can buy good relationships, not with money, but with action, by living side by side on important days of my life.
I used to take a plane from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat morning and evening just to attend a friend's wedding because I wanted to see his smile on one of the happiest days of my life.
I used to order a toy sent to a friend's child. Just thought a child would be delighted when I received a small gift from someone who loved his family.
I used to transfer gladly on my friend's housewarming day because I believe my friend's success is worth rejoicing in.
I used to drive for hours to another friend's wedding, tired and sleepy, but never thought it was difficult because for me, "friend" was always important.
I used to share things, cosmetics or small things with my friends, because if we had anything that someone else wanted, I would be happy to.
I do everything by heart, never think about how much I give or how much I do for anyone, because I think friendship is not a trade.
But life also taught me something to hurt quietly.
When my life was troubled, the day I was tired, the day I needed someone to ask, "How are you?" The people I used to travel long distances to find, the people I used to reach out to help, the people I loved as a family, gradually disappeared one by one.
No plane flew back to me.
No message asking for redemption.
No hands extended
At the time, I realized that sometimes the people we give up may not love us the same way.
But even so, I don't regret loving my friends so much, because being honest is not a fault.
What is more regrettable is the discovery that some people are with us only when our lives are useful to them.
And perhaps the most expensive lesson in life is not money, but learning who is a "friend" and who is just a "passerby acquaintance when we give him everything."
จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวเกี่ยวกับมิตรภาพ ผมเองก็เคยพบว่าการทุ่มเทความจริงใจให้กับเพื่อนบางครั้งไม่ได้ตอบแทนกลับมาอย่างที่คิดไว้เหมือนกัน ในช่วงเวลาที่ชีวิตเรายังราบรื่นและเต็มไปด้วยความสุข เป็นเรื่องง่ายที่จะได้รับความรักและการสนับสนุนจากคนรอบข้าง แต่เมื่อใดที่เราประสบปัญหา หรือชีวิตเจอกับความลำบาก เป็นเรื่องน่าเจ็บใจและสอนใจอย่างยิ่งที่หลายคนเลือกจะถอยห่าง ผมเคยเดินทางไกลเพื่ออยู่เคียงข้างเพื่อนในโอกาสสำคัญ ทั้งงานแต่งงาน วันเกิด หรือแม้แต่การเยี่ยมครอบครัว แต่เมื่อถึงวันที่ผมต้องการใครสักคน แม้คำถามง่าย ๆ แค่ "เป็นยังไงบ้าง" ก็กลับไม่มีใครถาม การหายไปของเพื่อนบางคนไม่ได้หมายความว่าพวกเขาไม่เคยรัก แต่บ่งบอกว่าความสัมพันธ์นั้นอาจไม่ได้ลึกซึ้งอย่างที่เราเคยคิด การได้เรียนรู้ว่าเพื่อนที่แท้จริง คือคนที่อยู่กับเราในทุกสถานการณ์ โดยไม่สนว่าเราจะมีอะไรให้เขาหรือไม่ เป็นบทเรียนที่ล้ำค่าและเศร้าใจในเวลาเดียวกัน อีกทั้งข้อความในภาพว่า "เพื่อนที่หายไป...ไม่ได้จากไปไกล แค่หายไปจากชีวิต" สะท้อนความจริงที่ทุกคนอาจต้องเผชิญ บางคนเดินจากไปเพราะเหตุผลที่เราอาจไม่เข้าใจ แต่มันก็เปิดโอกาสให้เราได้ค้นหามิตรภาพใหม่ ๆ ที่จริงใจและยั่งยืนมากขึ้น สุดท้าย การรักและจริงใจไม่เคยเป็นความผิด การเรียนรู้ที่จะรักตัวเองและเลือกคบคนที่เห็นค่าความจริงใจของเรา คือสิ่งสำคัญที่จะทำให้ชีวิตมีความสุขและเติบโตขึ้นในทางบวก
