there’s an actual difference between a contour stick and a bronzer stick and i use both in my everydat makeup routine! Contour=grayish shadow shade on the perimeter of your face, bronzer=warmer terracotta on the top of your cheekbones so i actually bronze AND contour. Lmk if you use a contour stick or bronzer stick or both!

From my personal experience, using both a contour stick and a bronzer stick can really transform your makeup routine. The contour stick, with its grayish shadow tone, is fantastic for creating natural-looking shadows on the perimeter of your face — especially around the forehead, jawline, and cheekbones. It helps to subtly define your face shape without making it look overly sculpted or 'sucked in.' I’ve found that blending the contour up to the hairline works best to keep the look seamless and natural. On the other hand, the bronzer stick with its warm, terracotta hue adds an effortless sun-kissed glow to the higher points of your cheeks. I like applying it on top of my cheekbones and slightly along the jawline, blending it carefully with the contour so the tones complement each other. This layering technique gives a beautiful balance between definition and warmth, which is especially perfect during the summer months when I want that radiance. One tip I’ve learned is not to contour too heavily on the cheekbones if you prefer a softer look—bronzing the tops of your cheekbones helps to calm down harsh shadows and creates a more natural, dimensional effect. The placement and intensity of both products can be adjusted based on the look you’re going for, whether it’s soft and subtle or more defined. Experimenting with different products from brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills and Rhode Skin has helped me find formulas that blend well and last throughout the day. If you're new to this, start light and build up as needed. Let me know if you prefer contour sticks, bronzer sticks, or both in your makeup routine, and feel free to share your favorite application tips!
