They Said Get a Job — I Got to $0 Instead
Y’all told me what to do — I listened.
Now I’m at $0.
Some said, “Just get a job.”
Others gave advice I’ll never forget.
Some even reached out and asked, “How can I help?”
Truth is — everything y’all said worked.
From applying for credit protection (which I didn’t even know existed),
to paying small amounts weekly when that’s all I could afford.
And so much more I had no clue about before.
But the biggest lesson?
👉🏽 Never let anyone use your credit card.
Because when the mess hits, it’s your name on the line.
Even with good intentions, you carry the weight.
Today, both of my cards are at $0.
Not because it was easy.
But because I stayed focused — and followed the wisdom y’all gave me.
I didn’t post for pity.
I posted because I didn’t know where else to turn.
And this space reminded me: I’m not alone.
