Things I’ve learned in my 4 months of pregnancy 🤰🏻

Everyone really is different and no pregnancy is the same. Here’s some things I’ve experienced/learned in mine despite what everyone else told me.

- The bloat is a major part of the “baby bump”. Love it all the same. ♥️

- You really do begin to feel better during the second trimester.

- You’re not bound to maternity clothes. Size up from where you are now until you just can’t anymore. If you’re like me, you’ll hate wearing clothes in general.

- Prenatal depression is a real thing. Accept the love and support from others and give yourself grace for feeling how you do. You’re not alone. ♥️

- Kid to Kid is a saving grace to your bank account!!

- Get a baby Doppler for yourself, you’ll want to hear that precious heart beat way longer than the OB visit gives.

- Eat what you can when you can. It can be heard at times. You’re not a bad mom for only being able to eat toast at times. You’re doing your best. I squeeze fruit in as much as my craving (sour candy).

- You’re not lazy, SLEEEEEP.

- Go ahead and invest in the pregnancy pillow and the ball. It will save your back!

- Target gives soooo many discounts and coupons with the registry. Save up and bulk shop to use your 20% off!

As I said, this is my own experience as a first time mom. Ladies, please PLEASE feel free to share your experiences and tips to first time moms in the comments. ♥️

... Read morePregnancy can be a whirlwind of emotions and unexpected changes, especially for first-time moms. During these initial months, many women discover that every pregnancy experience is different. It’s important to listen to your body and be compassionate towards yourself. The second trimester often brings relief from early pregnancy symptoms such as nausea and fatigue. Additionally, prioritizing self-care and mental health is crucial; support from loved ones can make a significant difference. For managing discomfort, investing in a good pregnancy pillow can help improve sleep quality. Make sure to take advantage of resources like parenting groups and online communities to share experiences and seek advice. Engaging with other mothers can provide valuable insights and emotional support. Moreover, remember to celebrate small victories during this journey, whether it's getting through a tough day or simply relishing a moment with your growing baby. Embrace this transformative time with an open heart and mind. Using services such as maternity clothing exchanges and budgeting through baby registries can help ease financial stress. Retailers often offer substantial savings for expecting parents, so taking advantage of those opportunities can be beneficial. Share tips and personal experiences in supportive forums to foster connection and find encouragement during this life-changing adventure. Ultimately, every mom's pregnancy journey is a unique chapter filled with its own set of challenges and joys, and your experience is valid.
