Pregnancy Books for the Health Conscious Mom

As someone who has always been health conscious, it was super important for me to prioritize my optimal health during pregnancy. There were a few books that I read during my pregnancy to educate myself more on the right nutrition, exercise, birthing decisions, and breastfeeding.

I found a lot of value from these books and wanted to share them with other like-minded mamas!

1. Real Food for Pregnancy: I’ve always been a healthy eater but this books not only tells you what to eat, but it explains why! For example, I learned how important choline is for healthy brain development.

2. The Mindful Mom-to-be: I love how this book breaks down each month of pregnancy and gives tips based on what can be going on during that month. The book is very intentional about incorporating yoga, breathing exercises, and optimal nutrition for a holistic pregnancy.

3. The Vaccine Friendly Plan: this book is especially important because I knew I wanted a delayed vaccine schedule and I would be declining some. It shows you how to do a successful delayed vaccine schedule, it gives you the facts about each shot, and it also discusses other “what to expect” as your baby grows.

4. So That’s What They’re For: I’ve shared this book before but it’s too good not to share it again! The best breastfeeding book in my opinion! It’s a no pressure, humorous book about the ups and downs of breastfeeding and how to do it.
