川崎病の疑いで実際に入院を経験したことで、病気への理解が深まりました。特に印象的だったのは、熱が長期間下がらず、坐薬が効かない点です。川崎病は血管の炎症が原因のため、通常の解熱剤が効きにくいと知っておくのは大切だと思います。 また、BCG注射の跡が赤く腫れることは一般的にはあまり知られていませんが、今回の入院で医師から聞いて初めて重要なサインだと認識しました。緊急入院となり、付き添いが1人だけで面会も制限される状況は親として心身ともに辛かったですが、お父さんが育児休業中で交代できる環境だったのは本当にありがたかったです。 高熱と発疹が同時に出る場合、特に4歳以下の小さい子どもは川崎病の可能性も念頭に置き、すぐに小児科で診てもらうことが大切です。突発性発疹は発疹が熱の後に出るのに対し、川崎病は熱と同時期に発疹が現れ、元気がなくなりやすい特徴があります。 普段の育児では機嫌が良ければ安心しがちですが、今回の経験から、親としても早めの受診と病気の知識を持つことでいざという時に冷静に対応できると実感しました。今後もこの体験を通して同じような病気で悩む親御さんに有益な情報を発信していきたいと思います。
