WHAT NOBODY TAUGHT YOU GROWING UP

Nobody withheld this from you on purpose.

They just never figured it out either.

Now you know. Do something with it.

... Read moreGrowing up, many of us realize that certain life lessons are never explicitly taught, yet they hold immense power in shaping our paths. One profound truth is that nobody owes you anything; kindness and support from others are choices, not guarantees. This realization fosters a humble mindset that helps maintain healthier relationships and personal growth. Your closest relationships deeply influence your trajectory—often referred to as "your circle is your ceiling." Surrounding yourself with motivated, honest, and supportive people creates pressure that pushes you upward. I learned this firsthand when I consciously changed my social environment and witnessed meaningful change in my attitude and opportunities. Hard work, while vital, isn't the only ingredient for success. I've experienced times when no matter how much effort I exerted, progress stalled because the environment or opportunities didn't align with my goals. Recognizing when to pivot or seek better surroundings is crucial. Another valuable insight is owning every choice you make. Your past or others don't define you—what matters is how you act now and in the future. Embracing this empowers you to take control of your life narrative. Words carry incredible power—they can uplift or destroy. Choosing to encourage and build others fosters stronger bonds and a positive atmosphere. I've found that celebrating others' successes doesn't diminish mine but expands the sense of possibility for everyone involved. Lastly, perseverance is more mental than physical. Success often comes from steadfast trust in oneself and commitment to the mission despite challenges, rather than raw talent alone. Deciding each day to keep going, even when motivation wanes, distinguishes those who achieve lasting growth. These lessons, though sometimes acquired the hard way, become guiding lights that can transform the unseen into actionable wisdom. Recognizing and applying them can open doors to a more authentic, resilient, and fulfilling life journey.

i’ll be the first to admit i’ve made a LOT of mistakes in my past relationships … relationships are a huge part of adult life, and it kind of blows my mind how little education we get about what makes a healthy one - how to handle ourselves in conflict, what we should be looking for in a partner

🌿 Growing What God Planted: Walking in the Fruits of the Spirit
There’s something so powerful about slowing down and really looking at the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). These aren’t just “good qualities” to try on when life is easy, this is the evidence of God actively working in us. Love that chooses others even when it’s inconvenient (John 15:12).
