I just experienced emotional devastation in literary form. But I’m okay. Really. Everything’s totally okay.

If TJR is going to do one thing, she’s going to have me crying on the train on my commute home from work.

I thought I was emotionally prepared from seeing some other online reviews but there’s no way to really be ready for the depth and emotional connection Taylor Jenkins Reid brings to her characters.

I was a little hesitant going into the first few chapters… as soon as a book starts getting a little to technically science-y my brain just drifts off into a mental re-production of the Backstreet’s Back music video. Luckily, the book shifted quickly into a character-driven narrative and I was hooked.

The hype, as usual, is real.
