Waiting

Hey everyone! 👋 You know those times when God's timing feels like it's on a completely different clock than yours? I've been there, staring at my watch, wondering if my prayers were somehow on mute! 😂 It's easy to get frustrated when you're in a season of waiting, especially when you feel like you've been doing everything right. But I've found that sometimes, prayer can actually bring a surprising dose of joy and even a little humor into the wait itself. Not in a disrespectful way, of course, but in finding the lighter side of trusting God's incredible plan. I remember one instance when I was so impatient, I practically told God, 'Are we there yet?!' in my head. Instead of getting more flustered, I ended up laughing at my own childlike eagerness and how I was trying to rush the Master planner. It made me realize that even in our most earnest prayers for things to happen *now*, God is still there, patiently working His magic. He's still writing your story, and His timing, not mine, is truly perfect. My prayers then shifted from 'hurry up' to 'help me find joy in this waiting, and maybe a chuckle at my own impatience! Help me embody patience and faith in YOUR divine timing.' This isn't about making light of serious situations, but about embracing the peace that comes from knowing God's timing is perfect, even when it feels incredibly slow. Sometimes, my most 'funny' prayers are just honest, raw expressions of my human impatience, which God totally understands. And after I vent, I often find myself smiling, realizing how truly blessed I am to even have a God who listens to all my thoughts, silly or serious. It adds a whole new layer to my bible journaling, too, when I can reflect on those moments of finding light in the waiting. It’s a reminder that faith isn't always solemn; it can be incredibly uplifting and even bring a smile to your face. Keep trusting, keep praying, and maybe find a little giggle along the way!
