Sweet Dreams ✨

Some days just hit harder don't they ?

I'm exhausted (& it's only 5:38pm !!!), we still have soccer practices & I work the night shift.

I'm counting down till I can go collapse into bed - but it got me thinking of my perfect night time rituals ...

Freshly laundered & line dried bedding- & I HAVE to be first one into that bed - (tell me i'm not alone in this weirdness !!🫣🤣)

Oversized tees {or nuffin} - if you haven't tried either you are missing out 😉 & you are welcome !!!

New wax in my warmer - Provence Lavender or Jammy Time - are so calming & seriously nothing else will do it !!

Oooo maybe a Long soak in the bath in the dark with candles!!! Shower off & lotion up 🥰.

And with that I have convinced myself to go to bed .... hehehe.

One personal habit I swear by is always being the first to slip into my bed when the sheets are fresh from line drying — there’s something incredibly comforting about that crisp, natural scent and texture that sets the tone for a peaceful night. Comfort is key for me, and oversized tees have become my go-to sleepwear. Their loose fit not only enhances relaxation but also allows my skin to breathe, making falling asleep much easier. For those who haven’t tried sleeping in just an oversized tee or nothing at all, it’s a small change that can significantly improve your sleep quality. Adding to the ambience, I light a soy wax warmer filled with calming scents like Provence Lavender or Jammy Time. The gentle aroma fills the room and helps quiet my mind, creating a serene atmosphere. Aromatherapy has scientifically been shown to reduce stress and promote deeper sleep, so this little ritual is both indulgent and beneficial. A long, warm soak in the bath with candles softly flickering around me is another indulgence that elevates my routine. The warm water relaxes tense muscles, while the candlelight soothes the eyes and mind. Following the bath, I always moisturize well with my favorite lotions to keep my skin hydrated overnight. These rituals together transform the evening into a sanctuary of calm, especially important on days when exhaustion hits hard early, like those busy evenings with soccer practices and night shifts. Adopting and customizing bedtime routines like these can help anyone who struggles with settling down after a demanding day, making it easier to drift into sweet dreams and wake up rejuvenated. What’s your favorite way to wind down before bed?
