The goal for me is to train for life. 34wks postpartum after baby 3. Mama just wants to train for that day when my kids’ friends say “that’s your mom?😱” lol

Training after childbirth can be both challenging and empowering. At 34 weeks postpartum following my third baby, I’ve learned that the key is consistent, purposeful workouts that build functional strength for daily life. When people see a mom working hard on leg day and lower body strength routines, they might not realize the dedication required to balance recovery and fitness improvement. I use equipment like CYBEX machines, which offer smooth resistance and help me focus on controlled movement, minimizing injury risks while maximizing muscle engagement. It’s all about becoming a ‘badass for your kids’ — having the energy, strength, and confidence to keep up with them and inspire them. Being a fit mom on platforms like TikTok also connects me with a community sharing tips and encouragement, making the journey feel less solitary. Whether it’s mastering ONER (one-arm exercise rows) or other strength moves, the goal is realistic and lifelong fitness, adapting exercises to postpartum needs. If you’re in similar shoes, remember: postpartum isn’t a limitation, it’s a new starting point to build resilience and strength that will serve you for years to come. Celebrate every leg day, every rep, and know that staying active helps you be ready for all the surprises your kids’ friends might throw your way!
