To make the most out of this exercise, try doing the back lunge with a yoga block for 60 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds, and repeat this cycle 4 times. This interval format keeps your heart rate up, making the workout a great blend of strength, endurance, and mobility training. Adding this method to your routine is especially beneficial if you want to improve hip mobility. The deeper stretch and controlled movement help increase flexibility around the hips and thighs, which can enhance overall movement and reduce injury risk. What I also love about this approach is its adaptability. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, adjusting the length of intervals or the number of sets can tailor the workout to your personal fitness level. For those tight on time, short barre circuit workouts under 15 minutes, like those available on dedicated YouTube playlists focusing on interval and circuit training, are fantastic. They allow for a quick but effective session that fits into even the busiest schedules, helping you maintain consistency and stay motivated. Try integrating the yoga block back lunge into your circuit to experience a total body workout that promotes balance, strength, and a lean summer-ready body.
