When I look into the mirror without any products, I feel a raw and honest version of myself that’s hard to replicate. Natural skin tones, slight imperfections, and natural expressions seem to reflect my true moods and personality in a way makeup sometimes masks. On the other hand, makeup allows me to creatively unleash another version of myself, highlighting features or expressing moods I don’t usually show. The contrast between my natural and makeup face is like having two different languages to communicate with the world. However, over time, I realized that embracing my natural face brings a sense of freedom and self-acceptance, diminishing the pressure to always look 'perfect.' Balancing these perspectives has helped me appreciate both looks without feeling compelled to choose just one. Whether it’s a day for natural confidence or a night for expressive makeup, each has its own value. Learning to listen to how my natural face 'speaks' has been empowering and encourages me to celebrate authenticity alongside artistry.
