Disrespect = Closure

I remember a time when I used to tolerate an incredible amount of negativity and subtle digs from certain individuals in my life. I was always so afraid to lose people, convinced that maintaining relationships, no matter how toxic, was better than being alone. This fear kept me from truly acknowledging the impact of their disrespect on my well-being. It wasn't until I reached a breaking point that I realized a profound truth: sometimes, the disrespect itself is all the closure you need. There's no need for a dramatic confrontation, an apology that never comes, or a long explanation. The consistent disregard for your feelings or disrespecting your boundaries is a clear message, and accepting it as closure can be incredibly liberating. True closure comes from within, when you decide that you've had enough disrespect and you're ready to reclaim your peace. It's a powerful act of self-love to recognize that some doors need to be closed, not out of anger, but out of respect for your own well-being. This journey isn't easy, but it’s absolutely worth it for the peace and self-worth you gain.
