Flight Ettiquite that I Believe In

People are in a constant debate about flight ettiquite, but this is my take!

• ask before reclining or at least make the passenger behind you aware (they may be super tall, be disabled, or have drinks etc on their tray table that can spill

• try to minimize overhead bin use to just your lugagge ( I have seen people put jackets, purses, leftover food, etc)

• not always possible, but if I am in the window seat, I like to make sure the person next to me is awake or also getting up before I ask them if I can use the restroom

... Read moreFlight etiquette is a crucial aspect of making air travel enjoyable for everyone. Before taking your seat, consider the personal space of those around you and be mindful of your actions, such as reclining your seat. It's considerate to ask the passengers behind you if it’s alright to recline, as they might have limited space or be using items on their tray table. Moreover, when it comes to the overhead bins, it's important to limit your belongings and ensure that you only take up sufficient space for your luggage. Avoid placing unnecessary items like jackets or leftover food in the bins, as this can create frustration for fellow travelers who need to stow their bags. If you're in a window seat, make an effort to be aware of your neighbors' movements. When you need to get up, check if they are awake or also planning to move. This small act of courtesy can help maintain a peaceful environment aboard the flight. Following these simple guidelines can significantly improve the travel experience for both yourself and those around you. Always remember, a little consideration goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable flight!

most important tho is middle seat gets both armrests, and unless you're late for a flight (like actually late) the people in front of you exit FIRST
