Spending a Thursday afternoon filled with various activities is a refreshing way to break from routine and nurture creativity. After my vocal lesson, where I practiced the song "Shapeshifter" by JJ, I felt energized and inspired. Vocal training not only sharpens musical skills but also boosts confidence and helps with expression. If you've never tried singing lessons, I highly recommend it—even practicing simple songs can brighten your day. Following my lesson, my mom surprised me with a book titled "Easy Origami" from the Maple Library. Origami is such a calming and rewarding hobby, blending art and mindfulness. Starting with simple folds and shapes, you can create beautiful paper figures that enhance focus and patience. Libraries often offer a treasure trove of inspiration, so checking out new books regularly can be both fun and educational. In the evening, my family and I attended an art exhibition at a local high school. Viewing the students' artworks, from paintings to creative masterpieces, was a wonderful way to appreciate young artists’ perspectives and talents. Community art exhibitions encourage creativity and support local talent, making them great events to join. Altogether, this Thursday afternoon-to-evening blend of vocal lessons, reading, and art appreciation created a balanced and enjoyable day.
