My Borrows from The Maple Library
This Thursday before my vocal lesson, I went to the Maple Library and borrowed four items which are a DVD and three books. And now, here are all the items I borrowed. #MapleLibrary #MyBorrows #LibraryFinds
Visiting the Maple Library this past Thursday was a refreshing break before my vocal lesson. I always find that borrowing from the library offers a unique chance to dive into topics that enrich my hobbies and knowledge. This time, my choices were quite diverse—a DVD of the iconic 1989 film "Say Anything," which captures timeless themes of love and youth, and three intriguing books that span creative arts and music history. "The Photography Book" by Tom Ang is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in photography as an art and technical skill. It covers the history and techniques, which has helped me appreciate the craft behind capturing compelling images. For those keen on creativity, "Sew Liberated" by Meg McElwee offers stunning sewing projects perfect for modern craft enthusiasts, inspiring me to try making some stylish garments myself. The last book, "New York Rock" by Steven Blush, takes readers through the evolution of the rock music scene from iconic bands such as The Velvet Underground to the legendary CBGB club. As a music lover, exploring this book gave me a deeper appreciation of the rich cultural movements that shaped modern rock music. Libraries like Maple Library are fantastic spaces not only for borrowing books and DVDs but for expanding personal interests without a financial burden. I highly recommend setting aside a day to browse your local library’s collection—you never know what gems you might discover that will inspire new passions or add depth to your existing ones.
