My Experience At The OWGC’s Worship Concert

Attending and participating in the OWGC’s Spirit Takeover concert was truly a memorable experience that deepened my connection to the community and to my faith. The day started with a welcoming atmosphere as families and friends gathered to prepare for the event. One highlight was serving and enjoying some delicious nachos and cheese—a simple but comforting way to bond with others before the concert began. When the time came for the performances, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement. Watching a sibling duo perform before me set a friendly and supportive tone. Then, stepping on stage for my solo rendition of "You Say" by Lauren Daigle, I was able to express my feelings through music, which was both challenging and fulfilling. Playing the bass guitar during the group act with my siblings on "Sunflower" by Pauline Zoe Park added a special collaborative dimension to the event. What I loved most about this worship concert was the sense of unity and shared purpose. Events like these strengthen community bonds and provide an uplifting outlet for young people to engage with their faith creatively.
