🎄8 of the 11 books I read in December 🎄

This month was a good reading month for me as far as quantity, but not great for quality.

The books that I read this month were (some not pictured):

1. The Frost Queen’s Blade by Meg Smitherman- This book was given to me as an ARC by the lovely author (my first ever) and I had such a great time reading it! I highly recommend when it comes out in just a few weeks!

2. A Holiday by Gaslight by Mimi Matthews- A short little Christmas novella that gave me all of the warm, fuzzy, holiday feels. You should definitely add this to your Christmas TBR for next year!!!

3. Wildfire by Hannah Grace- I was honestly not super impressed with this book. It was better overall than Icebreaker, but I also somehow liked it less. Don’t make me explain it, I can’t..

4. Nick and Noel’s Christmas Playlist by Codi Hall- Boring and forgettable. Do not recommend.

5. I cannot wait to talk to you about this book because I LOVED it, but I, unfortunately cannot currently talk about it due to the SMP/ Wednesday’s Books strike. Please continue to reach out to St Martin’s Press to hold them accountable for their employee’s disgusting actions/words.

6. One Day in December by Josie Silver- The more I think about this book the more I hate it. The main characters were not likable at all and, frankly, the whole storyline was underwhelming and juvenile. Like just talk to each other for gods’ sake.

7. The Tea Dragon Society by K O’Neill- This graphic novel is sunshine in a teacup. I can’t even begin to say how much I love it. Please read it. I truly do not think you will regret it.

8. Lightlark by Alex Aster- I had a really good time with this book! I did not see all of the twists coming. Even the one I did guess I didn’t completely get it right. It was fun and I can’t wait to read the next one!

9. Piranesi by Susanna Clarke- This book was different than I anticipated. I did enjoy it, but since I finished it I have seen some critiques of it that are valid. I think it’s best to go into this not knowing anything about it, though, so that is all I will say.

10. Tis the Season for Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth- No. No thank you.

11. Twas the Night Before Christmas- I read this classic children’s story approximately 10 times over the course of December. Yes I am counting children’s books. This is my reading count and I can do what I want, thankyouverymuch.

That’s all! I’ll be posting about my favorite books of the year as soon as I can… looking at you SMP.

i’ve been looking a lot into banned and challenged books and what that exactly means. when a book is banned, that means that it has been removed from a collection (something like a library or state) due to a challenge to its content, morals, or themes. have any of you read any of these? what did

Books I’m using to fill the Arcane void
As I’ve said in a prior post, I cannot stop thinking about arcane season two. The entire show was so well done, so visually stunning, and with a very good plot line (for the most part). Obviously, nothing is perfect and even your favorite things will have criticisms. It’s too early for me to do yet
