Be that Girl: Hair Oiling
If you’re new here, then save this post for later because you are most certainly going to need it.
Do you have hair that feels unmanageable? Tangled, frizzy, and breaking off?
Forget going to the hair salon to get an emergency hair cut, or running to the beauty store to spend 20+ dollars on a product that can’t help you.
Look inside of your pantry and grab these items:
• Olive Oil
• Avocado Oil
• Jamaican Black Castor Oil
• Hibiscus Flower
If you don’t have these items, that is fine!
Instructions:
*1 day prior*
Put a dry hibiscus flower in a small cup of water and let it infuse overnight.
*Day of*
Mix the oils in a small dish, and add the hibiscus flower concoction. Do not heat in a microwave. Instead, let the dish sit in a hot bowl of water until the oil is warm to your touch.
Massage the oil in using the tips of your fingers (no nails, babes). For curly girls, only put the oil on the scalp and avoid rubbing your end. This is a scalp treatment.
If you have straight hair, you may detangled your hair using a brush gently, and then work the oil in from roots to ends.
Cover head with a bag to keep the moisture in, and heat up a damp towel in the microwave to cover your head to help your scalp absorb even more oil.
