I Finnaly Got the Stand Mixer- Unboxing 🥰
Hey Yall,
I'm so excited about this mixer! I've been eyeing her for a while and I was finally surprised with it for christmas. Here are some quick facts about her:
1. it's the 5.3 quart mixer by Drew Barrymore
2. it cost $99 before s&h
3. the color i have is Rose ( it looks more pink in person) but she has sooo many color options
4. its pretty lightweight but still durable, which makes it easy to move around the kitchen
5. its sold at Walmart along with her other kitchen appliances
I've already used it to make mashed potato's, which was a game changer in saving time. I also used it to make butter from scratch (needless to say I will not be going back to storebought butter).
im so excited to see what I create this year using my new toy! let me know down below if you have a mixer and if so what are some of your favorite ways to use it!? I'm taking all the advice I can get 😊

Getting my beautiful Drew Barrymore 5.3 qt stand mixer has truly opened up a world of culinary possibilities in my kitchen! While the initial joy of unboxing such a stunning appliance was immense – especially seeing it in that gorgeous pink – the real magic, I'm discovering, lies in mastering its incredible attachments. These aren't just extra pieces; they're the keys to transforming everyday cooking and baking into something extraordinary. This super cute and affordable machine comes with the essentials, and I'm here to share what I've learned about getting the most out of each one. First up, the mighty dough hook! If you've ever dreamt of baking your own artisan bread, pizza, or even homemade pasta, this attachment is about to become your new best friend. It takes all the hard work out of kneading, gently working the dough to develop gluten, which is crucial for that perfect texture. I'm so excited to finally tackle some sourdough recipes without the arm strain. It effortlessly brings together sticky doughs, ensuring a consistent mix every time. Just imagine the aroma of fresh-baked bread filling your home – that's what the dough hook makes possible! Next, we have the versatile flat beater. This is probably the most used attachment for many home bakers, and for good reason! It excels at creaming butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, which is the foundation for countless delicious recipes. For those of you, like me, dreaming of perfect 'white icing with flat beater,' this is your secret weapon. It mixes cake batters, cookie doughs, and yes, buttercream frosting to a smooth, lump-free consistency. It incorporates just enough air to make things light without over-whipping, making it ideal for everything from rich brownies to fluffy cupcakes. It's truly a workhorse in the kitchen. Finally, the elegant balloon whisk. This attachment is all about aeration and creating volume. If you need to whip egg whites into stiff peaks for meringues or soufflés, or transform heavy cream into luscious whipped cream, the balloon whisk does it with incredible speed and efficiency. It incorporates air beautifully, giving you light, airy textures that are almost impossible to achieve by hand. I've already used it to make some incredibly fluffy scrambled eggs, and I can't wait to try my hand at some delicate mousses. It truly elevates those lighter, airier recipes. Beyond these specific uses, I've found a few general tips that make using my Drew Barrymore 5.3 quart stand mixer even more enjoyable. Always remember to use the splatter shield – it's a lifesaver, especially when you're adding ingredients to the generous mixing bowl! And keeping this beautiful appliance pristine is surprisingly easy. Most attachments are dishwasher safe, and a quick wipe-down of the main unit keeps its gorgeous pink finish looking brand new. This mixer isn't just an appliance; it's an investment in making kitchen time more fun and efficient. I'm so glad I got it for Christmas, and I'm taking all the advice I can get on new recipes to try!
