Variation 🩰🛟🐕
This book was included on audible so I started listening and got sort of invested in the sister drama. There’s so many family trials from a car fire sister death to a mystery child and teenage romance secrets that resurface in adulthood. This book was surprisingly really good!
Spoilers:
Allie and Hudson were best friends in their teens. Hudson wanted to be more than friends but Allie being a rousseau ballet dancer meant she was off limits and Hudson would have to settle for just friends.
The two grew up and grew apart after allie’s sister, Lina, tragically passed in a car fire accident that Allie had been told was all her fault by her mother, leaving the relationship with her mom and sisters sort of strained. But years later, over the summer, Allie has an injury while dancing and spends her healing time back at that family home on the beach where Hudson has been in the coast guard. Hudson has an adopted niece named juniper who is completely invested in Allie and she wants to be a prima someday but juniper’s mom has sworn to never let her dance like a rousseau. Juniper finds out who her biological mother is and things take a big turn when Allie and Hudson agree to have a fake relationship to get close to junipers mom so they can tell her the big secret. Things happen behind juniper’s adoptive mothers back and secrets from the passing of Lina come to the surface and Hudson and Allie …may be falling in love for real this time. (They are not her parents if you’re trying to guess 😌 and even if you figure out her mom, you’ll NEVER guess her father)
The drama and romance in this book were so unexpectedly addictive! I would read this again! I only gave 4 stars because I didn’t like the audio book narrator duo. But I cried and giggled and kicked my little feet through this whole book 🩷
