& I’m tired of being afraid!

Coming from a girl who’s been wanting to be a creator since Bethany Mota, MylifeasEva and the whole 2013-14 era, this should come easy to me. I started a YouTube channel and got 87,000+ views on one video but I never took it serious enough to stay consistent. Why?

The biggest problem I’ve been facing is staying consistent and finding my niche. I’m literally such a Jack of all trades and I feel like the algorithm truly picks up niches. I can’t seem to just stick to one interest. I’m a professional hobby hopper.

I started making videos of my sewing content on tiktok but it wasn’t until I posted a video about BUDGETING and that’s when I went viral. Again though, I can’t really commit to just budgeting. I want to talk about EVERYTHING. I even made a new Instagram and tiktok to really take things seriously but I’m stumped

I’m hoping to become mutuals though :)

... Read moreIt's true, that feeling of 'My fear of looking stupid IS holding me back' is a powerful force. I've felt it constantly, like an invisible wall keeping me from fully embracing my creative dreams. It’s not just about producing content; it’s the paralyzing thought of putting yourself out there, only for it to be met with crickets, or worse, criticism. This fear often manifests as perfectionism – if it’s not perfect, why bother? Or it leads to endless overthinking, where I spend more time planning than actually doing. That's why I've struggled so much with consistency, even after seeing a video go viral. The pressure to replicate that success, or to live up to an imagined standard, can be just as daunting as the initial fear of failure. But I’m learning that breaking the consistency cycle isn't about suddenly becoming a robot. For me, it’s about setting incredibly small, manageable goals. Instead of telling myself I need to post five videos a week, I aim for one or two short-form pieces of content. Or I commit to just opening my editing software for 15 minutes, even if I don't finish anything. This trick helps me overcome that initial inertia. Another game-changer has been finding an accountability buddy – someone who understands the creator struggle and checks in. We share our weekly goals, celebrate small wins, and gently nudge each other when motivation wanes. It’s not about grand gestures; it’s about showing up, even when it feels like no one is watching. Then there's the 'niche' dilemma, especially for us 'Jack of all trades' or 'hobby hoppers.' It feels like the algorithm demands a niche, but my brain jumps from sewing to budgeting to travel to journaling! I’m realizing that maybe my niche isn't a topic, but me – my perspective, my journey, my struggles, and my diverse interests. Instead of trying to bottle myself into one category, I'm exploring the idea of 'content pillars.' These are broad themes that tie my varied interests together. For example, 'creative exploration,' 'personal growth,' and 'practical living' could be my pillars. Under 'creative exploration,' I could share sewing projects or art. Under 'personal growth,' I could talk about overcoming fear or consistency. And 'practical living' could cover budgeting or organizing. This way, I get to talk about 'everything' but still offer a coherent narrative for my audience. Finally, I’ve learned that you can’t do this alone. Connecting with other creators, especially those who are also navigating the ups and downs of this journey, has been incredibly validating. It’s a space where you can share your fears without feeling stupid, get advice, and even collaborate. These connections remind you that you’re not the only one wrestling with inconsistencies or wondering if you’ll ever find your 'thing.' So, if you’re out there feeling the same way, don't let that fear hold you back from reaching out. Let’s build each other up and turn those creative anxieties into shared strength. My journey is still unfolding, but at least now, I feel like I have a map, even if it's a messy one!

How to stop being afraid of pasta
Here’s how to stop being afraid of pasta: 1. Realize pasta isn’t the enemy. Carbs from pasta aren’t any worse (or better) than carbs from rice, oats, fruit, or bread. Your body doesn’t see “pasta” and immediately decide to store fat; it just sees carbs. And carbs = energy. 2.
