The first photo was from May 2022. I was transitioning from relaxed to natural and I was only 5 months natural so I really had about 2.5 inches of natural hair on my head. The rest was damaged and dry from over processing.

Now in Feb 2025 I’m fully natural and always wear my hair straight. I flat iron every two weeks. My hair texture is 4C!!!!

Regimen:

Take down hair (do not comb)

1. Spray olaplex 0 till a little damp

2. Add Olaplex 3 to hair and let both sit for 10 min

3. Wash hair with shu uemera ultimate reset shampoo & pat dry with soft microfiber towel

4. Add shu uemera ultimate reset mask to hair

5. Add Aussie moist conditioner to hair

6. Add ORS replenishing mask to hair

7. Cover with plastic cap & deep condition with a heat cap for 10 min

8. Rinse with very COLD WATER (do not dry!!!)

——————————-

While wet (in this order!)

9. Add Garnier Fructis sleek & shine leave in

10. Add shu uemera nourishing hair oil

11. Add coconut oil

12. Add Now Foods Shea nut oil

13. Add ion silk drops

14. Part hair in two sides with fingers and tie up each side so ends are tucked in

15. Take down one side and start detangling in small sections

16. Comb each section with a wide tooth comb the use a denman brush.

17. Bantu each section & continue until the whole head is done.

18. Take the section you started with and unwrap the Bantu knot.

19. Spray with EVA NYC 10 in 1 spray

20. Blow dry with ion pink smoothing blow dryer attachment on HIGH.

Continue until entire head is done.

21. After your blowdry, tie your hair in a loose bun on your head, start with the back and flat iron in thin sections on 350. I use Gold N Hot ceramic flat iron.

I do this EVERY two weeks and I do not do heat styling, or treatments in between.

... Read moreTransforming your hair and maintaining its health can be a journey, especially for those with 4C hair texture. It's crucial to use products that provide moisture and strength while minimizing damage from styling. For deep conditioning, options like Olaplex No. 3 are excellent for repairing bonds and enhancing overall hair health. Incorporating a moisturizing shampoo, such as Shu Uemura's Ultimate Reset Shampoo, helps cleanse without stripping essential oils. A replenishing conditioner, like Aussie Moist, adds hydration and softness. For styling, using leave-in conditioners like Garnier Fructis can help reduce frizz and protect against heat damage when flat ironing. Furthermore, consider including natural oils, such as coconut or shea nut oil, in your regimen. These oils can provide vital nutrients, sealing in moisture and ensuring your hair feels nourished. Regular trims, avoidance of excessive heat, and being patient with your hair's growth process are also key components to achieving the healthiest version of your natural hair. Ultimately, your hair care routine should be tailored to meet your hair's individual needs. Experimenting with various products and methods can lead you to find the perfect balance that works for you while taking care of your beautiful 4C curls!
