Y’all Said My Ends Were D**d 😂😂😂

A lot of you have been commenting on my photos saying how my hair wasn’t going to grow because I refuse to trim it! But I stand by letting it grow out UNEVEN because that’s how hair grows. I’m not cutting off an inch or two of hair that took months to get. I’m just going to let it continue to grow and get longer and cut it when I FEEL like it…IF I feel like it. And to my supporters, thank you! Trims are NOT NECESSARY if your hair is healthy. 😘 #hairgrowth #hair #haircare

... Read moreMany people believe that regularly trimming hair ends is essential for promoting hair growth and maintaining healthy hair. However, this is a common misconception. Hair growth primarily occurs at the scalp where new cells are produced, while the hair shaft—the visible part of hair—is dead tissue. Trimming ends helps prevent split ends from traveling up the hair shaft and causing breakage, but if the hair is well-maintained, trims may not be needed frequently. The author’s choice to let hair grow unevenly reflects the natural growth pattern, where hair strands can grow at different rates due to genetics, health, and hair care practices. Uneven ends are normal and can be patiently grown out without concern if the hair is healthy and cared for properly. Key to healthy growth without frequent trims is maintaining strong hair through adequate moisture, gentle handling, and protective styles that minimize breakage. Using sulfate-free shampoos, deep conditioning treatments, and minimizing heat styling helps keep hair resilient. Nutrition also plays an important role; a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals supports scalp health and hair strength. The phrase "STILL WINNING.... STILL NOT TRIMMING!!!!" embodies the positive mindset around natural hair growth journeys, where patience and consistency with hair care routines yield long-term results. It is important for individuals to listen to their hair and trim only when necessary or desired, rather than adhering to strict trimming schedules. This approach empowers hair enthusiasts to embrace their unique hair texture and growth patterns. It also promotes understanding that trims are a tool for health and style maintenance rather than a mandatory requirement for hair to grow. Whether you wish to grow your hair longer or maintain it in a healthy state, knowing when and why to trim is key to celebrating natural hair beauty and growth.

I’m a stylist I had a client whose hair was constantly getting longer even though she refused trims. As time passed her hair became insanely damaged her hair was still long but nearly see through for at least a good 6-8in with me eyeballing it

Hair will always grow because hair grows from the scalp not the ends. To retain length it's recommended to get trims. Everyone's hair is different though I have to get 2 inches or so cut off because I have a lot of hair. I'm comfortable with that. Do what's best for you and your hair.
