Stop 11 — Taber, Alberta 🌽🤠🎡
Taber completely floored me.
We came for Cornfest… and stepped into what felt like a full-blown summer fair — free and absolutely massive. A parade, a huge car show flowing straight into the fairgrounds, a packed midway, and thousands of people filling the town.
And then there was the Cornfest Bull Riding at the Agri-Plex — another free event. Pure small-town fun. Bulls, riders, packed stands, and that electric energy you only get when a community shows up together.
All of it revolves around one thing: corn.
Taber sits in one of the best corn-growing regions in Alberta — some would argue Western Canada — and Cornfest is how the town celebrates what it does best.
This wasn’t “small town, small event.”
This was a town owning its identity in a big way.
