🎄 STOP 8 — CARDSTON, ALBERTA 🎄
Christmas Eve felt like the right moment to share this one.
(I'm counting down 25 towns in 2025 with my last stop a week from now at New Year's Eve)
Cardston is the kind of town that doesn’t feel like you’re visiting — it feels like you’re coming home. Like walking into a family gathering where everyone knows each other and there’s always something happening in every corner.
We were there for the Festival of Lights, and despite one of the windiest days imaginable, the volunteers showed up and made it happen. Lights were strung, a parade rolled through town, and the historic house downtown lit up as part of a tradition that clearly means a lot to this community.
All day long, Cardston came alive:
• Markets at Freddie’s on Main
• Kids’ activities at the library
• Karaoke and gatherings around town
And eventually… everyone made their way to the heart of it all — the Remington Carriage Museum.
It felt like the natural meeting place. Santa and Mrs. Claus were there. Families wandered through one of the most incredible carriage collections you’ll ever see. And then — the cherry on top — climbing aboard a horse-drawn carriage for a quiet Christmas ride through town.
History. Community. Tradition.
#Cardston knows how to do Christmas right.
On a night meant for family, this town delivered exactly that feeling.

Thank you for capturing the essence of this annual celebration!
