Small town game
Let's play a game. Pick a small town. Any small town. They are the backbone of the province. It's the farms and the hard-working people there that keep the rest of us going and put food on our tables. And it's these same people that are out there volunteering and helping one another out. These are the stories I've been highlighting on my youtube series and they need to be told on a larger scale.
I have a government grant on the line, conditional of my own backing and we need help getting to the finish line to showcase the culture of rural Alberta and help these towns to thrive. If you want to see a feature documentary about the heart of our province write your name on a 5 dollar bill and make that pledge on our kickstarter for the project. Link is in my bio.

Having lived and traveled extensively through Alberta's small towns like Slave Lake, Stettler, Smoky Lake, Grimshaw, and Vulcan, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible spirit of community that defines rural life here. These places are not just dots on the map; they represent the backbone of a province where farming and local businesses fuel daily life and keep the wider population fed and connected. What truly stands out in these towns is the deep sense of volunteerism. Whether it’s organizing community events, supporting local schools, or aiding neighbors, the residents embody a spirit of togetherness that challenges urban stereotypes of isolation. This camaraderie is part of what makes these places so special, and it deserves to be highlighted on a bigger stage. The opportunity to support a documentary that tells these heartfelt stories through platforms like Kickstarter is exciting. It’s a chance for those of us who appreciate the culture and lifestyle of rural Alberta to contribute to a project that amplifies voices often unheard beyond their small communities. By pledging just a few dollars—symbolically writing your name on a five-dollar bill—you become part of a movement to preserve and promote the true essence of Alberta's small towns. As time is running out, with only a few days left to meet the funding goal, I encourage everyone who values these communities to get involved. Sharing your experiences, memories, or even simply spreading the word helps ensure that these stories of resilience, hard work, and neighborly kindness are seen and celebrated more widely. Supporting this documentary isn't just about film; it's about honoring the vibrant life that makes Alberta uniquely strong and connected.
