The air was filled with the sound of bagpipes at the Heritage Fest in Carstairs. It was so cool to take in the highland games, highland dance, and a whole parade of bagpipers. Carstairs is actually named after a town in Scotland since it was settled by the Scottish. I love that they embrace this heritage and people come from all over to celebrate that. This is what I love learning about small towns like these. Carstairs is one of the towns we're featuring in our documentary this year.
