Your children do not exist to make YOU happy as a parent. #foryou #fyp

Your children do not exist to make YOU happy as a parent. If you are deciding to be a parent then you are doing it with wanting to protect them emotionally and physically. It is to provide them a good childhood and prepare them for adulthood.

Are you pouring love into your children , or using them to get your own needs, ego, attention met?

If you’re ready to actually face the ugly, painful places inside and finally HEAL them…

“There’s a Hole in My Love Cup” will take you there. This book will KICK your ass and change your life. You need it.  But you gotta bring the courage

... Read moreParenting is often seen as a journey filled with joy and challenges, but a critical insight I’ve learned is that children should never be seen as the source of a parent's happiness. Instead, the role of a parent is to provide a safe, supportive environment that helps a child grow into a healthy, confident adult. I have personally experienced the pitfalls of leaning too heavily on my children for emotional fulfillment. It’s tempting to see them as a way to heal past wounds or as a source of validation, but this approach can place an unfair burden on the child and harm the parent-child bond. Recognizing this was a turning point for me. One key to healthier relationships with our kids is setting clear boundaries. This means respecting their individuality and allowing them the space to develop their own identities without the pressure of meeting our unmet needs or expectations. It also requires us to face our own emotional wounds honestly and seek healing, whether through therapy or self-reflection. Books like “There’s a Hole in My Love Cup” emphasize the importance of courage in confronting these inner challenges. Such resources have been invaluable in helping me break patterns that did not serve my family well. Ultimately, parenting is about empowerment rather than possession. By pouring love into our children to support their well-being, rather than using them to fulfill our own egos or emotional voids, we create a foundation for healthier relationships and happier lives for everyone involved.
