Hawaiian Roll Cheeseburger Sliders

These burger sliders are juicy, tender beef patties layered with melty cheese, topped with buttery onions, tangy pickles, and stuffed between sweet, pillowy-soft Hawaiian rolls.

They are the easiest dinner solution for busy weeknights or fun occasions. Something about their handheld snackable size makes them highly requested and adored by all ages. We love to dip ours in a delicious creamy-tangy burger sauce (the recipe is included).

I recently made a big batch for a family gathering, and they disappeared faster than I could blink. What I love most is how versatile they are, and honestly, the sweetness of those Hawaiian rolls just takes a regular cheeseburger to a whole new level. One game-changing tip I picked up for making these is using a SHEETPAN! Seriously, assembling them all on a sheet pan makes cooking for a crowd so much easier. You can press your ground beef thinly and cook it in one go (or use pre-made mini patties), then just layer everything on the rolls right there on the pan. It cuts down on individual cooking time and makes cleanup a breeze. I usually toast the bottom buns slightly first, then add the cooked beef, cheese, and then the top buns, brushing them with a little garlic butter before baking until everything is melty and golden, creating perfect SHEETPAN Cheeseburger Sliders. Beyond the classic, don't be afraid to experiment! While cheddar is always a winner, I've tried pepper jack for a little kick or even Swiss for a richer flavor. For toppings, caramelized onions are a must for me, but sometimes I'll add crispy bacon bits or even a slice of tomato and lettuce on the side for freshness to my sliders. Think about different sauces too – a spicy mayo or a smoky BBQ sauce can totally change the vibe of your sliders burger. To ensure your patties are super juicy, don't overmix the meat, and make sure your pan (or sheet pan!) is hot. A little seasoning goes a long way – salt, pepper, and a touch of garlic powder is my usual blend. Some people even mix in a bit of Worcestershire sauce for extra depth. And remember, these are sliders, so don't make the patties too thick; they should be proportionate to the roll. These aren't just for dinner! They're fantastic for game nights, potlucks, or even a fun lunch. I often prep the patties ahead of time, slice the rolls, and get all my toppings ready. Then, when it's time to serve, it's just a quick assembly and bake. For sides, simple fries, a crisp coleslaw, or a fresh green salad are perfect. But honestly, they're so filling and flavorful, they almost don't need anything else. And that creamy-tangy burger sauce? It's essential! My go-to is usually mayo, ketchup, a dash of mustard, a tiny bit of pickle relish, and a pinch of paprika. It adds that perfect zing that balances the richness of the cheese and beef. Trust me, once you make these Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders, they'll become a staple in your recipe rotation!

I just made this recipe and the beef shrinks up in the pan so better make two pans of 13X9 at 400degrees for 25min. I thought that temp was too high, and planned ahead for beef shrinking, which it did. I had to use AI for cook times and temps. So, that’s what they suggested and it wasn’t a great turn out. Thankfully, I had extra beef on hand to make enough. Don’t care for recipes that don’t give full instructions because this is what happens. Hope this helps.
