My Gender Identity

"I am what I am when I am it" - Andrea Gibson

I'm genderapathetic, genderfluid or agender or autistic gender or genderless or whatever the fuck means I can stop bothering with any of it. I usually identify mostly as a woman (she/her but all other pronouns are alright too) because it's just the group of humans I feel the most affinity for and resonance with, but I wish dimmer switches were an option for my gender presentation. I think gender should be a playground, but instead it's treated like a commitment, or a cult, or a war zone, or a performance that society says we never get to stop playing out. It's tiring.

... Read moreIt's so easy to feel overwhelmed when you're trying to figure out your gender identity, isn't it? The original post perfectly captures that feeling of wanting gender to be a playground, not a rigid set of rules. I totally resonate with the idea of not neatly identifying as 'a man or a woman,' and the thought of constantly explaining pronouns can honestly feel like a huge mental load. It's like, I cannot afford to have any more personal epiphanies right now, especially when just living in a dystopian hellscape is enough! When I first started exploring, I stumbled upon a lot of 'gender identity tests' or 'what is my gender quizzes' online, like those from IDRlabs. While these can sometimes be a fun starting point, it's important to remember they're just tools, not definitive answers. True understanding often comes from deep introspection and listening to your own feelings, not just checking boxes. It’s a personal journey, and there’s no single right way to do it. You might wonder about the differences between terms like 'bigender vs genderfluid.' From my perspective, being bigender might mean consistently identifying with two genders, either simultaneously or switching between them, while genderfluidity implies a more flowing or changing experience of gender over time. For me, the 'genderfluid' and 'genderapathetic' labels feel more aligned because my experience isn't fixed. Sometimes I lean one way, sometimes another, and sometimes I just don't care about labels at all! It's less about a specific destination and more about the journey itself. Many factors can influence our gender identity. Personal experiences, cultural background, and even neurodivergence, like being 'autism and gender identity,' can shape how we perceive ourselves. For some, being autistic can mean a different relationship with social constructs like gender, leading to unique perspectives. It's about finding 'options for gender identity' that truly resonate with *you*, not what society expects. There are so many valid ways to exist beyond traditional binaries, whether you identify as agender, non-binary, or something else entirely. It’s okay if you don't want to get into the complexities of hormones or constantly explain your pronouns to everyone you meet. Your internal sense of self is what truly matters. The beauty of this journey is discovering what feels authentic, allowing your gender to be as dynamic and expressive as you are. Like playing with different filters, sometimes it's about trying things out and seeing what fits, without the pressure of a permanent commitment. It's all about embracing your own unique 'gender playground'!

Hey I’m someone that very young and I’m religious I’m just saying if it’s so hard the be that God created you, not what you change. Plus in the Bible they say they/them are demons, demons used those. I’m just saying so you don’t go to hell and make satan “win” and make you be in hell living hell ❤️
