My Gender Identity

"I am what I am when I am it" - Andrea Gibson

I'm genderapathetic, genderfluid or agender or autistic gender or genderless or whatever the fuck means I can stop bothering with any of it. I usually identify mostly as a woman (she/her but all other pronouns are alright too) because it's just the group of humans I feel the most affinity for and resonance with, but I wish dimmer switches were an option for my gender presentation. I think gender should be a playground, but instead it's treated like a commitment, or a cult, or a war zone, or a performance that society says we never get to stop playing out. It's tiring.

... Read moreAs conversations about gender identity become more prevalent, it's essential to understand the spectrum and nuances involved. Gender identity is not a one-size-fits-all concept; terms like genderfluid, agender, and genderapathetic highlight the diversity in personal experiences. Many individuals resonate with gender labels that allow for flexibility. Genderfluid individuals, for instance, might feel different gender identities at different times, while agender individuals may not identify with any specific gender at all. It's crucial to appreciate that gender expression can be as diverse as the individuals themselves. Humans often feel societal pressure to fit within predefined categories, yet many are advocating for a 'dimmer switch' approach to gender. This perspective allows for a more fluid, less binary understanding of gender that embraces personal comfort and authenticity. Supportive communities and resources are increasingly available for those navigating their gender identity. Online platforms, support groups, and literature provide valuable insights and foster connections among individuals with similar experiences. For those interested in further exploration, consider engaging with hashtags like #genderfluid, #genderqueer, and #actuallyautistic on social media, where like-minded individuals share their journeys and support each other. This digital support can be invaluable in a world where understanding gender is still evolving. Ultimately, embracing one's gender identity can lead to greater self-acceptance and mental well-being. Acknowledging that it's perfectly fine to be uncertain or to evolve in your understanding of your identity is a vital step toward personal empowerment.

Hey I’m someone that very young and I’m religious I’m just saying if it’s so hard the be that God created you, not what you change. Plus in the Bible they say they/them are demons, demons used those. I’m just saying so you don’t go to hell and make satan “win” and make you be in hell living hell ❤️

gender identity is strange
I’ve labeled myself as nonbinary since 2021 at age 16. I primarily identified as feminine for the most part (they/them pronouns) but knew that I didn’t relate to the experience of being a woman. I always felt sort of different, almost neutral to the idea of gender because of certain ways I grew up
