We spent 9 days living out of a van, traveling across Utah and Wyoming and here is our itinerary! I truly think we has the perfect trip- enough time to relax, but also see the must do things at each spot. We picked up our Van through Moterra Camper Vans in Las Vegas and dropped them off in Jackson Hole making it the easiest one-way trip.

So, you're dreaming of a Utah & Wyoming road trip? I recently returned from an incredible 9-day adventure living out of a Moterra camper van, and trust me, it's an experience you won't forget! We managed to pack in so much, from the stunning red rock formations of Utah to the majestic snow-capped mountains of Wyoming, all while enjoying the freedom of van life. Living in a van for nine days was a game-changer. My top tip? Pack light but smart! We quickly learned what was essential for comfortable travel, especially when navigating diverse landscapes. Don't underestimate the importance of a good cooler and a portable stove; cooking meals against a stunning desert-like setting or mountain backdrop not only saves money but also enhances the experience. Finding spots to shower or dump waste was part of the adventure, so apps like iOverlander became our best friends. Our journey started by picking up our Moterra van in Las Vegas, which made for a super easy one-way trip to Jackson Hole. If you're planning a similar adventure, make sure to book your van rental and national park campsites well in advance, especially for popular spots like Zion National Park and Yellowstone National Park. We spent 2 nights at Zion, and while breathtaking, I wished we had more time to explore more trails. Even a short stay, however, was absolutely unforgettable. Highlights from our trip included hiking among the towering orange hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park, where even a 1-night stay was enough to catch a magical sunrise. We also stopped at Bear Lake, whose clear blue waters offered a serene break from all the hiking. Yellowstone, with its iconic geysers and abundant wildlife, truly requires more than our 2-night visit, but we still managed to see so much. And then there was Grand Teton National Park, where the scenic valleys and majestic snow-capped mountains reflecting in the lakes felt like nature's masterpiece. We also allocated 2 nights here, and it was pure bliss. Budgeting for a road trip, especially with a van, can be more affordable than you think. Cooking most of our meals saved a ton, and investing in a national park pass was definitely worth it. This 9-day journey was packed with adventure, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable memories. If you're considering a Utah & Wyoming road trip, especially by van, just go for it! It's an experience that truly connects you with the beauty and grandeur of the American West.
