📒 How I Built My Monthly + Weekly Spreads ✨
I’ve been repurposing my old homeschool planner for college, and I finally set up my monthly + weekly layouts. Here’s how I did it ⬇️
🗓 Monthly Spread
• I do half + half months (ex: half September, half October) so I can see my schedule flow.
• Added assignment due dates, events, meetings, and trips → all color-coded with highlighters.
• Wrote the dates included in each spread since they’re split months.
• Made a section for monthly goals broken into 5 areas:
1. Family → kids, relationships, family days, extended family
2. School → academics, clubs, work, social media I run for school
3. Habits → me, kids, couple, family
4. Home → physical space, chores, meals, routines
5. Social → friends, family, personal socials
📝 Month in Review
I used sticky notes for a flexible, scrapbook-y vibe:
• 🍿 What I’m watching/listening/reading/eating/drinking
• 🏆 Monthly accomplishments
• 💫 Best moments
• ✍️ Favorite assignments
• 📅 Events coming up next month
⏰ Weekly Spread
• Turned the weekly overview into an hour-by-hour planner (so much easier to manage busy days).
• Changed weekly goals + notes → weekly to-dos.
• Used the small schedule section as a reminders box:
• Due dates
• Appointments
• Small notes
• ⭐️ “Best part of the day” memory
This setup keeps me organized but also lets me reflect on what actually matters—not just deadlines.
