Sightseeing the Red Bua Sea, Tuthawapi, Udon Thani 🌸

A two-day, one-night trip to the Red Lotus Sea 🌸 in late January.

➡️ The Red Lotus Sea is open to visitors during November - February every year (the peak is December - January, the lotus will bloom in the most beautiful water).

One morning in Bangkok.

We decided to book a plane ticket and take off in the sky...

The destination is Udon Thani.

The machine landed at Udon airport. The air changed immediately.

From a hasty city to a deeper breath, to a feeling.

Continue driving for about 40 minutes.

Heading to February.

And we chose to stay at the Madebua Hotel, a small hotel on the edge of the swamp.

That is so close to the Red Lotus Sea that it can be called

Just opening the curtain is like the trip started.

Evening, the atmosphere is very quiet.

No car noises. No highrises.

It's just a cold wind blowing over the surface and the sunset light reflecting golden swamp.

It's a silence Bangkok doesn't have to offer.

We sleep early tonight.

Because the only reason -

You have to wake up at 5 a.m. to catch the sunrise in the middle of the Red Lotus Sea.

5: 30 a.m.

The sky is still dark. The weather is a little cold.

We walked to Diem Pier, near the hotel.

The morning wind blows so cold that I have to hug my arm.

When getting into the long tail boat

The engine slowly rolled off the shore.

The sky began to change color from black → blue → light orange.

And as soon as the ship gets out of line...

The image in front of the boat is silent.

The sea of red lotus is full of water as far as possible.

Not just a lot.

But it's like a natural pink carpet with no boundaries.

Some fog floats above the surface of the water.

The sun slowly emerges from the horizon.

Morning light reflects sparkling lotus petals.

The only sound heard

The sound of water hitting the bow of the boat and the sound of the wind.

That moment we didn't immediately pick up the phone.

Because it's so beautiful that I want to use "eyes" rather than "cameras."

It's a hard feeling to explain.

Like a real break from the world

No Deadline, no job, no rush.

Only us

Morning light

And the Red Lotus Sea.

Before returning, the boat driver took a photo in the middle of the swamp.

All around is a full 360-degree pink cornice.

This isn't just a tourist attraction.

But it was one of the calmest mornings ever.

But it's really beautiful with the feeling when we're there.
