I’ll be honest: the real work started after surgery. The habits, the mindset, the protein, the movement, the boundaries, the discipline when motivation disappeared… that’s what changed everything.
Maintenance is not luck. It’s a lifestyle.
Here’s your reminder:
keep your routines simple,
prioritize protein,
move your body,
drink your water,
protect your peace,
and stop waiting until Monday to get back on track.
Your glow-up is not just about losing weight. It’s about becoming the woman who knows how to keep the promise she made to herself. ✨
Save this if you’re in your maintenance era or working toward it.

After undergoing bariatric surgery, I realized that the most challenging part wasn’t the operation itself but the lifestyle changes that came afterward. Maintaining weight loss is truly about consistency and commitment. One of the biggest game changers for me was simplifying my routines so that healthy habits felt achievable rather than overwhelming. Incorporating enough protein throughout the day not only helped me maintain muscle but also kept my energy levels steady. I prepared easy-to-make protein-rich snacks that I could grab when motivation waned. Movement became a daily priority—not necessarily intense workouts, but consistent activity that I enjoyed, like walking or gentle stretching. Hydration played a crucial role too. Drinking enough water helped control hunger cues and kept me feeling vibrant. Perhaps most transformative, however, was learning to protect my peace. Setting boundaries around stressors and negative influences allowed me to stay focused on my goals without burnout. One tip I’d share is to ditch the “Monday mindset”—waiting for a specific day to restart habits only creates delays. Instead, start fresh whenever you can, even if it’s midweek or after a setback. Every moment is a chance to recommit. My journey led me to develop The GLOW Girl Method, a guide focusing on four-step habit strategies tailored for women balancing many roles. This approach supports sustainable weight loss maintenance grounded in realistic and supportive daily practices. Embracing these principles has helped me become not just a person who lost weight, but a woman who honors her promises to herself. If you’re in your maintenance era or working toward it, focusing on these sustainable habits will empower your glow-up from within.
